Langkawi is still Langkawi

It amuses me to hear that the GM of LADA is going all out at ALL costs to clinch the UNESCO geopark status for Langkawi.

My opinion: Langkawi shall always remain Langkawi. No need to rebrand it as the hills, rocks and mountains have been there for millions of years. Langkawi geopark should only be another identity to promote the island's so-called new products.

Please consult with the people of Langkawi if they really want the name changed. Am sure if they know the rationale they will not go for it!

Why not use Langkawi Islands - Malaysia's Geopark as tagline? Think about it, brother.
